VIDC represents approximately 33 locals and over 17,000 members throughout Vancouver Island, Powell River and qathet. The District Council joins forces with its Locals on issues including community project support, political action, bargaining support and promotion of CUPE ideals. As a link both to affiliate locals and to CUPE BC the Council can encourage CUPE BC and CUPE National to take action on particular issues.
